Marvel is a native daughter of the Hubbard Prairie, born and raised just east of the Village of Hubbard on a farm that was homesteaded by her great grandparents. She attended grade school in Nevis and High school and college in California.

With a degree in engineering she worked for the aerospace industry as a program manager on the Trident Missile Guidance Systems and the high-resolution cameras that photograph missile targets. This engineering teamwork experience gave Marvel a great "head-start" when she became a member of Coldwell Banker Clack & Dennis Real Estate Park Rapids in 1993.

Marvel and her husband, Stuart, moved back to Minnesota in 1985 and settled close to the farm she grew up on by the south shore of 3rd Crow Wing Lake. After Stuarts death, Marvel moved to her new home off the Fish Hook Bay area of Fish Hook Lake.  After selling that home, she moved to her new home in the city of Park Rapids.

Marvel is a past president of the Lower Crow Wing Lakes Association and a current member of the Hubbard County Water Quality Task Force, as well as serving as Past President of the Lakes Country Board of Realtors. She also sits on the Boards of the Classic Chorale. Marvel is a member of the United Methodist Church in the town of Hubbard, where she also sings in the choir. In addition she lends her vocal talents to the Classic Chorale in Park Rapids.

After joining Coldwell Banker Clack & Dennis Real Estate's team in 1993, Marvel lost no time in becoming a real estate sales "Top Producer." By 1995 she was in the President's Circle and has earned a Coldwell Banker Award each year since. She is a graduate of The Realtor's Institute and a Certified Residential Specialist, as well as an Accredited Buyer's Representative. She has also attained both her Real Estate Broker's License and Certification as a Previews Property Specialist. In 2010, Marvel & her daughter, Dani Ondracek, were the #1 Coldwell Banker Sales Team in the State of Minnesota!

Marvel loves to travel and has been a delegate to the Coldwell Banker International Business Conference several years.
