Thomas Peterson

Thom is almost a "native" Minnesotan. He moved to the Park Rapids Minnesota area from Fargo, ND, when he was only 3 years old. At that time his parents had just purchased the property near Lake George that they built and developed into one of the area's foremost tourist attractions, known as Val Chatel Ski Lodge.

Growing up and working in a family-owned business that included a ski resort, restaurant and hotel, provided Thom with the background experience which made him a "jack of all trades" and from which he learned to enjoy and appreciate Northern Minnesota's "great outdoor" lifestyle.

After graduating from Park Rapids High School, Thom earned a degree in business administration from Bemidji State University. In 1975 he married Cathy Conzemius, who was a teacher at Park Rapids Middle School. They are the proud parents of two daughters, Sara and Katie. Sara is an Attorney with Thomason, Swanson & Zahn Law Office in Park Rapids and Katie, who has her Master's Degree in Psychology and is an LPCC and farm wife, both their parent's pride and joy!

Thom had owned and operated various small business ventures up until 1993, when he joined the Coldwell Banker Clack & Dennis Park Rapids Real Estate crew and "settled in" to a job he really enjoys…matching people to Northern Minnesota properties. His knowledge of the Park Rapids area has proven to be a real asset in the Northwoods real estate business. Thom and His wife currently own Bella Caffe, an Italian expresso and wine bar and 3rd Street Market.

Thom is a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church and the Park Rapids Classic Chorale. Thom has also served as a member on the board of the Park Rapids Chamber of Commerce and is truly interested in growth and development in our area. His leisure time activities include flying, being a member of the DAR board, Park Rapids Airport Commission and the Downtown Business Association, hunting and grilling. Thom's life is centered around family and friends. Currently he and his wife are residing at their Potato Lake home.

As a realtor, Thom has earned a Graduate of the Realtor's Institute, G.R.I. designation and also holds the prestigious title of Certified Residential Specialist. His Coldwell Banker sales awards include Diamond Society, The President's Circle and the President's Elite. Thom was our real estate Park Rapids top producing agent in the year 2000.
